I created my AI virtual assistant named “Guie” over 10 years ago to help me with debugging code on programming projects... I am very excited that she is now available to assist me with VR and AR application development. I am proud to present this VR project as a demonstration of my skills in all aspects of the multimedia production process.
One of the most exciting uses for augmented reality is to display AI characters into the real world. I was challenged to use the knowledge I have gained in the field of AR to produce a prototype that would place a life-size 3D character into the real world.
With this fun project I set out to enhance comic books using augmented reality technology. I chose a few covers from some of my favorites and tried to follow the theme of the comic book cover while adding augmented reality enhancements...
While studying augmented reality technology I have learned to create my own AR face filter apps ... compatible with both Android and iOS devices. I created overlay textures, animated 3D models, particles, and other effects to be displayed on the user’s face... a user interface and buttons that allow the user to select, customize, and visualize different effects.
...Using this technique you do not need to program an image Target to project your metaverse scene into the real world. Instead the AR engine is analyzing the environment and detecting a ground plane... project a 3D object or environment that will stay locked in at those exact coordinates...
I’m very proud of my completion of the augmented reality fuse box challenge project. This was a very exciting course in which I learned how to program A/R image target recognition applications without an external third party engine.
In this challenge I was required to put my User Interface skills to the test with this whack-a-mole-like challenge. The project scope is a game in which you have to get all the food that pops up on a grid while avoiding the skulls.
In this prototype, you will control a ball by rotating the camera around it and applying a forward force...after every round a new wave will spawn with more enemy balls...However, almost nothing in this project is functioning! It was my job to get it working correctly.
While most people think about the Metaverse as being a media that involves visual art, there is a an often overlooked area that can greatly enhance a metaverse project... The ability to use 3D spatial audio effects to provide an exciting user experience has just started to be implemented.
Here are variations on how to rotate an object using visual scripting. For this demonstration I made two cubes rotate automatically as well as via user input. One will rotate using the XBox controller and the other one is controlled using keyboard.
In this exciting project I created an augmented reality (A/R) application using clothing as an Image Target. When the camera recognizes the logo it projects a 3D animated action figure walking around the logo. Once the image is tracked and the AR recognition has locked in place, you can move the device around and watch the AR camera match your movements.
